NTA extended the last date for UGC NET December 2026 online applications to 31 October 2026. The extended deadline has now passed. Candidates should check the official website for further updates.

Candidates who have completed a Master's degree or equivalent qualification with the required marks can apply for UGC NET December 2026. Final-year postgraduate students may also apply subject to eligibility conditions.

For JRF, candidates generally need a Master's degree with at least 55% marks (50% for reserved categories). The upper age limit and applicable relaxations are specified in the official notification.

The UGC NET application fee varies by category. General (Unreserved) candidates, General-EWS/OBC-NCL candidates and SC/ST/PwD/third-gender candidates have different fee rates as mentioned in the official information bulletin.

The UGC NET December 2026 examination is scheduled from 14 December to 19 December 2026. Candidates should check the official NTA portal for subject-wise examination schedules.
